Pin punching/poking is a fine motor activity found in Montessori primary classrooms(ages 3-6).
The child is given a template with line drawing and a pin. The child then pushes the pin along the outline to create perforations along the line of the image. Once all the outline is punched out, the shape can be pushed out and use in different art projects.
Before giving a child a shape to punch out, it is important for the child to learn how to manipulate the pins. This pin poking activity is perfect to introduce children to pin punching activities
Pins are available for purchase on its own or as a kit(with board)
